Brian began by joining the Merchant Navy when he was 16.He always talked about his exoeriences sailing to Aden and other places on oil tankers.Next he joined the fire service in plymouth..he attended the fire when an gasomerer was on fire at Turnchapel....also the banana boat episode.His next job was as a senior conductor with Virgin rail at plymouth railway station.He was there for some years until he was retired on ill health,in2000.he greatly missed the friends he made along the way.
